October by the sea: fly to Saudi's Red Sea coast

08 September 2026, 08:00 PM

From 04 October 2026, Etihad will launch a year-round service between Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia's Red Sea International Airport (RSI), introducing our first dedicated leisure destination in the Kingdom.

Travellers from Abu Dhabi will reach the Red Sea in just over three hours, arriving into an airport set within the destination itself for swift transfers to resorts spread along a pristine coastline of turquoise lagoons, coral reefs and desert-backed shores.

The new route, operating once weekly at launch and increasing to twice weekly from 25 October 2026, connects guests across Etihad's network—including the Gulf and Indian subcontinent—to a secluded holiday region of diving, sailing and desert excursions.

For travellers from the Kingdom, the new service opens seamless one-stop access to Etihad's global network via Abu Dhabi, including key business and leisure destinations across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas.

Flight schedule from 04 October 2026.
