EY x QP Updates & FAQs

As our strategic codeshare partnership with Akasa Air continues to strengthen connectivity between Etihad and India, guests now enjoy enhanced choices on QP flights. Leveraging Akasa Air's modern narrow‑body fleet, we deliver seamless travel experiences with integrated baggage handling and a complimentary in‑flight meal.

Meal & Seat Selection Updates
Guests can now choose their onboard meal and seat to suit preferences. Available meal options include:

  • DBML: Diabetic meal
  • GFML: Gluten‑free meal
  • NLML: Non‑lactose meal


Special meal request/purchase prepaid excess baggage and select and/or purchase seats for flights can be availed for flights operating from 29 January 2026 onward, and are currently bookable through Manage Booking.

Seat selection can also be made through Manage Booking.

Airport Assistance Services
In addition to enhanced onboard choices, QP flights offer comprehensive airport assistance for special needs:

  • BLND: Blind passenger assistance
  • DEAF: Deaf passenger assistance

Can I request a special Meal (dietary)?

Yes, the following special meal requests can be requested: DBML, GFML, NLML.

Can I get any special assistance?
Yes. The following airport assistance can be requested: BLND, DEAF.


Can I choose my seats and book an additional bag?
Yes, guests can now pre‑book seats and excess bags for an additional cost on Manage Booking or through GDS for first flight from the 29 January 2026.

Can I book an infant with their own seat (INS)?
No, infants can only be accepted as lap infants (INF).
