Etihad Airways and TAROM have signed a codeshare partnership to strengthen travel between Abu Dhabi and Romania and expand Etihad’s reach across Eastern Europe.

From 17 December 2026, Etihad’s new Abu Dhabi–Bucharest service will be available for booking on TAROM’s network under Etihad’s ‘EY’ code, offering guests a single ticket, one check-in and through-checked baggage. The codeshare lets Etihad market TAROM flights from Bucharest to six Romanian cities — Baia Mare, Cluj‑Napoca, Iași, Oradea, Suceava and Timișoara — and extends to Belgrade, Budapest, Chișinău and Sofia via Bucharest.

The partnership provides Etihad guests with a single connection to Bucharest and the wider region, while Romanian travellers gain direct access to Abu Dhabi and onward connections across Etihad’s global network.
