Effective 29 July 2026, Etihad will update the checked baggage policy for travel to and from Tunisia (TUN) and Morocco (CMN), moving from a weight-based concept to a piece-based concept. This change applies to the routes and fare brands shown in the table below.

For guests travelling on these routes, checked baggage allowances will now be shown in pieces rather than total weight. The applicable allowance varies by origin, destination, cabin and fare brand.

For guests holding Excess Baggage EMDs purchased under the current weight-based policy, the following transition rules will apply:

• Fully unused tickets: If a guest changes a fully unused ticket and holds an Excess Baggage EMD issued under the weight-based policy, the EMD will be refunded in line with standard processing. The guest may then purchase Excess Baggage under the new piece-based policy, if required.
• Partially used tickets: If a guest changes a partially used ticket and holds an Excess Baggage EMD, no action is required. The original weight-based baggage policy will continue to apply, and the EMD will remain valid.
