Etihad Airways is expanding its network in mainland China, launching five new routes and adding 28 weekly flights, further strengthening our long‑standing partnership with China Eastern Airlines.
From Abu Dhabi, Etihad will begin services to Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Hangzhou and Shenzhen, bringing its operation in mainland China to a total of 35 weekly flights across six key cities, including its existing daily service to Beijing. The expansion marks one of Etihad’s largest single‑market increases in recent years and significantly enhances connectivity between the UAE and China.

Through a joint venture with China Eastern Airlines, Etihad will provide seamless connectivity across both carriers’ networks, offering greater choice and convenience for travellers between the UAE and China. This increased capacity also reflects the deepening economic and cultural ties between the two nations, supporting tourism and trade along one of the world’s most important corridors.
