From 12 June 2026, Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, proudly expands its network with the launch of four weekly direct flights to Damascus, Syria’s historic capital.

Damascus also serves as the gateway to the rest of Syria, a country renowned for its diverse landscapes from Mediterranean coastlines to expansive deserts and significant archaeological sites such as Krak des Chevaliers castle. This rich cultural and natural heritage, combined with Syria’s growing economy, offers valuable opportunities for both leisure and business travellers, reinforcing the connections between the UAE and Syria.
Travellers from Syria will also benefit from direct access to the beautiful emirate of Abu Dhabi. Through seamless connections at Zayed International Airport, they gain access to Etihad’s expansive global network, opening up new possibilities for business and leisure travel worldwide.
