Japan - No test required for vaccinated guests

Effective from 7 September 2022, guests can fly to Japan without a test if they’re fully vaccinated and have received a booster dose.

 

Approved vaccines:

 

Provided guests have received the equivalent of three doses, a combination of different vaccines are accepted. Read more:

  • AstraZeneca / Vaxzevria 
  • Covaxin / Bharat Biotech 
  • Janssen / Jcovden (one dose is equivalent to two doses) 
  • Moderna /Spikevax 
  • Nuvaxovid/ Novavax 
  • Pfizer / Comirnaty

 

Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated guests:

 

Must take:

  • Either a quantitative antigen or a PCR test at an accredited facility a maximum of 72 hours before their first flight departure time. Exemptions apply.
  • Tests must meet the approved format.

 

Quarantine rules:

 

Travellers won’t need to quarantine or test on arrival if they’re fully vaccinated or if they’re arriving from the UAE or certain countries. Guests can check if quarantine or arrival testing applies to them before they travel.
