Flights from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka have resumed.
Flights from India
Guests will only be permitted to enter the UAE if they are:
Guests can still travel to Abu Dhabi if they are one of the following and they need to register via the ICA app or at ica.gov.ae before travel.
In order to travel, guests must have:
All guests must arrive at the airport at least six hours before their flight to ensure they receive their rapid test results in time.
On arrival in Abu Dhabi, guests will be required to quarantine for 12 days and wear a medically approved wristband. This will be provided by the authorities at Abu Dhabi airport after clearing immigration. Guests must also take a PCR test on arrival, day six and day 11.
Due to restrictions in place by the Indian authorities, guests will only be able to transit to destinations in Africa until further notice.
Flights from Pakistan and Sri lanka
From 21 August, guests can fly from Sri Lanka to Abu Dhabi as their final destination under certain conditions.
From 22 August, guests can fly from Pakistan to Abu Dhabi as their final destination under certain conditions.
Flights from Bangladesh
Guests will only be permitted to travel from Bangladesh if they are transiting in Abu Dhabi.
Guests travelling from these countries will be unable to book tickets to the following destinations with Etihad until further notice due to temporary restrictions: Canada, UK, Israel, Australia, Japan.
Transit in Abu Dhabi
Guests will be able to travel to the USA from 20 August.
Guests transiting through Abu Dhabi must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of departure before their first flight departure time. Check the regulations at final destination to understand where and when to take the test.
In Abu Dhabi, they will arrive at Terminal 2 and board directly from there. Lounge facilities will be unavailable until further notice.
For new bookings, the maximum connection time in Abu Dhabi is six hours.
Due to local authority restrictions in Abu Dhabi, we are using a dedicated terminal to connect you to your final destination. You will remain in this terminal until you board your connecting flight. Please be aware that there are no outlets open for food or beverages in this terminal should you wish to bring something with you.
