Due to the current situation in China regarding Corona virus and operational challenges as a result, Etihad airways has decided to cancel their services to PVG & CTU, Mainland china points effective 05 February 2020 until 28 March 2020.
Etihad Airways offers the following options to Guests who have purchased EY tickets on/before 12 February 2020, to travel to/from PVG & CTU, China.
For guest travelling to PVG (Shanghai, China) v.v
For partially used tickets, re-booking / re-routing is available to PEK On EY via AUH (e.g. – AUH – PEK)
Between PEK-PVG v.v.
Rebooking between PEK to PVG sectors on the below airlines Rebooking needs to be done on the original RBD or the lowest available RBD in the same cabin -
On CA / CZ / HU / MF / MU
Or, alternatively rebooking can be done on the below airlines -
On TG via BKK - PVG (e.g – AUH-BKK-PVG) (or)
On OZ via ICN – PVG (e.g – AUH-ICN-PVG)
Rebooking needs to be done on the original RBD or the lowest available RBD in the same cabin.
For unused tickets, re-booking on EY services for the same routing and in the same RBD can be made with travel outbound prior to 31 May 2020.
For guest travelling to CTU (Chengdu, China) v.v
For partially used tickets, re-booking / re-routing is available to PEK On EY via AUH (or)
Alternatively rebooking can be done on the below airlines -
On 3U via PEK / ICN / HKT / BKK (e.g. AUH – PEK/ICN/HKT/BKK – CTU)
On CZ / HU / ZH via PEK (e.g. AUH -PEK -CTU)
On OZ via ICN (e.g. AUH -ICN-CTU)
Change fees are waived for this one instance only, any subsequent changes will be subject to normal reissue fees.
Re-routing and endorsement onto other airlines not permitted unless mentioned in the waiver.
Please note - Guest could be denied boarding incase their destination falls in the list of countries which have banned entry for any guest coming in from China or have visited China in the last 14 days or if the above airlines cancel their services to offered points.
For tickets issued on/before 12 February 2020 travel to/from PVG and CTU, China between 03 February 20 to 28 March 2020, all guest impacted by the above situation can request a full refund. Refund on partially utilized ticket must be calculated based upon pro-rata mileage flown.
The above policy is applicable for Group bookings also.
Please ensure the PNR is updated with the remark " Invol change due to PVG & CTU service cancellation”
