Commercial waiver policy for Cape Town schedule cancellation

Due to Cape Town (CPT) flight cancellation, all tickets issued on 607 document and are impacted by this change, Etihad Airways is offering the following options for tickets issued from all Point of Sales for travel to/from Cape Town on/before 31-Jan-22.

 

Option 1: Rebooking

  • Rebook on an Etihad operated flight to or from JNB for travel on or before 31 January 2022. Guests must be rebooked in the same or lowest available class in the original cabin. No fare difference will apply.
  • Between JNB and CPT, guests can rebook on South African (SA operated by SA), BA operated by Comair (BA*), MN operated by Comair, branded as Kulula (MN) for travel on or before 31 January 2022. 
  • OAL sectors should be booked in the lowest RBD in the same cabin and using the below RBDs:

  • If Business class not offered on OAL, economy RBD can be booked (Guest should be informed)
  • No show fee applies when the guest(s) books themselves on a flight which operates and is a no show.
  • Please ensure the PNR and endorsement is updated with the remark "SKCHG CW002-2021 CPT SKD CANCELLATION”.

 

Option 2: Cancellation/refund for travel on or before 31 January 2022

  • Free refunds are permitted for all impacted guests due to travel on or before 31 January 2022.
  • Refund on partially used tickets must be calculated on a pro-rata basis of sectors flown.
  • Refunds can be processed by travel agents.
  • Please ensure the PNR is updated with the remark "SKCHG CW002-2021 CPT SKD CANCELLATION”.
