China - changes to testing and entry requirements

28 January 2022, 10:15 AM

There have been some important new changes from the authorities for travel to China.

  • Guests must be fully vaccinated and hold proof of their vaccination status, including a booster dose of any MOHAP or WHO approved vaccine.
  • Guests must have been within the UAE for a minimum stay of 14 days, and have completed 14 days self-isolation prior to travel from Abu Dhabi to Shanghai.
  • The 48 hour PCR/IGM tests and 6 hour PCR tests must only be taken at Biogenix G42 Masdar City.
  • At the lab, our trained document verification staff will perform a passport ID check before they are tested. Any identify that cannot be verified will be reported to the local authorities and the Chinese Embassy, for their investigation.

They must follow all the requirements of the Chinese Embassy.

Please ensure all travellers check and meet all the essential test and entry requirements to travel at etihad.com/destinationguide.

Please notify your customers today of these requirements as they may be unable to travel and may wish to rebook their ticket.
